BFMD Episode 187 – Terrible Time at the Trop

Summary

Another disappointing weekend of Blue Jays baseball has come to an end. The team dropped two of three to the Rays and now returns home for a series with Seattle. 

The good news is that the team has everyone from their Opening Day lineup back minus Cavan Biggio, so hopefully a consistent lineup will help them heat up.

Justin and Patrick recap the series and preview the three game set that starts Monday against Seattle.

BFMD Episode 186 – Time to Change the Lineup?

Summary

After two tough games in the Bronx, the Jays head to Florida to take on the Tampa Bay Rays for the first time this season. 

Hyun-jin Ryu will return on Saturday to join the rotation, with Kevin Gausman and Alek Manoah starting Friday and Sunday. 

The guys discuss lineup configurations and how they would change the batting order if given the chance. Could Espinal bat 2nd? Where would you stick Bo?

BFMD Episode 184 – Springer & Romano Save Series Win

Summary

Bo Bichette is heating up at the right time because hits are at a premium for the Toronto Blue Jays these days. 

The Jays were able to escape with a series win on the strength of a HR from Bo and a great catch by George Springer. The Jays prepare to welcome to red hot Yankees to Toronto before heading out to Cleveland later in the week.

After a 4-2 road trip the Jays return to Toronto for 4 games against the Boston Red Sox. We will finally find out with Sox players are not vaccinated and I guarantee that they will be ridiculed!

BFMD Episode 181 – Gausman Baffles Boston

Summary

Behind strong pitching from Kevin Gausman, the Toronto Blue Jays were able to take two of three games at Fenway Park. 

The Jays also got a quality start from Jose Berrios, and a solid outing from Yusei Kikuchi as the rotation attempts to stabilize. 

The Jays head to Houston for the weekend and will meet up with Justin Verlander and the Astros for three games.
