BFMD Episode 112 – Down Goes Big Nate!

Nate Pearson has a grade 1 right groin strain. With no timetable for his return Ross Stripling may be next in line for the rotation.

Simeon Woods Richardson and Alex Manoah both tossed 2 scoreless innings against the Yankees in their Blue Jays spring debuts, and Rowdy Tellez continues to swing a hot bat.

Jonathan Davis reminded everyone that he is one of the best defenders in baseball against the Tigers, but only those in attendance were able to see the catch…

We’ll be back to recap the weekend’s games on Monday!

BFMD Episode 109 – New Beginning

Pitchers and Catchers are reporting!

The Blue Jays are still in need of a number 2 starter as the season approaches. Will they sign Jake Odorizzi or Taijuan Walker, or will they make a trade?

Who will be the Blue Jays MVP? Cy Young? Most Improved?

Justin and Patrick also give their Top Five power rankings to start the season.

BFMD Episode 108 – This One’s for Hammer

Patrick begins this week’s episode with a message about Hank Aaron and what he meant to the game.

Justin recaps a flurry of news including Nolan Arenado being traded to St. Louis, the Jays signing Marcus Semien, trading for Steven Matz, and the empty Hall of Fame class.

The guys debate the likelihood of Nate Pearson seeing time in AAA, and go over some of the remaining free agent options for the starting rotation.

With 2 weeks left until Spring Training begins there are still a lot of questions swirling around where the Jays will play this year, who starts behind Ryu, and where does Vladdy play defensively?

The Jays will now look to fill the remaining holes in the rotation and at third base.

BFMD Episode 106 – Close the Lindor

The Blue Jays didn’t pull the trigger on Francisco Lindor. The Mets did.

The Sugano sweepstakes ended with the Japanese star returning to Japan.

The guys also talk World Junior Hockey Championship and make NFL playoff predictions.

Happy New Year to all!

BFMD Episode 105 – Flying by the Seat of Our Pants

There continues to be little to no movement in the Free Agent market.

Justin and Patrick are here to provide any Blue Jays updates. Jonathan Davis gives back, Charlie Montoyo is pumped about the team, and Vladdy is back at 3B in the Dominican League.

Have a safe holiday season!

Justin and Patrick are back for another round of breaking ne– just kidding. Nothing is happening!

After a run through the rumour mill and all of the speculation surrounding free agents, the guys get to grading the 2020 Blue Jays rotation.

BFMD Episode 102 – For Alex

We want to dedicate this episode to the life and memory of Alex Trebek. He meant a lot to Canada, to TV audiences around the world, and to us.

Justin and Patrick comb through Blue Jays and MLB news including the Marlins amazing hire of Kim Ng as the first female general manager in MLB history.

Will the Jays trade for Francisco Lindor? What would that package look like?

The guys wrap up the episode by handing out grades to the starting outfielders.

Next up: pitching staff grades, free agency
