After a series sweep of the Atlanta Braves the Blue Jays are riding high heading into a tough week against the New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles. Summary

Justin and Patrick recap the road trip through Boston and Pittsburgh in what ended up being two completely different results. The bottom of the order came alive over the weekend led by Brandon Belt.

The bullpen finally crumbled but the Blue Jays still finished their homestand against the White Sox and Mariners with a 5-1 record.

Summary

Justin and Patrick are back to break down a series sweeeeeeeep of the Chicago White Sox by the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Jays got terrific pitching and contributions from the entire lineup.

Up next are the Seattle Mariners in a rematch of last fall’s Wild Card series. The Jays will look to get the upper hand to keep pace in the ultra competitive AL East.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. will never be a Yankee. That is accordign to his own words. After two 2-run home runs from Vladdy over the weekend and a series win in the Bronx the Blue Jays are headed home.

The Blue Jays ended the Rays unbeaten start and won 2 out of 3 games over the weekend.

Alek Manoah continued to struggle but Jose Berrios and Yusei Kikuchi bounced back in a big way.

Bo continues to rake and the bullpen has been solid.

BFMD Episode 234 – Top of the Order Leading the Way

Summary

The Toronto Blue Jays are off to a 6-4 start but it hasn’t always been pretty. The starting pitching has been largely inconsistent and the bottom of the order outside of Kiermaier have not contributed regularly.

The good news is that Vladdy, Bo, Varsho, Springer, and AL Player of the Week Matt Chapman have been excellent so far.

After 10 games on the road the team begins their first homestand in the newly renovated Rogers Centre.

Summary

After a wild win for the Jays the guys from BFMD give their gut reactions on the results.

Should we be concerned about Manoah, Mayza, or Garcia?

The offence had 19 hits, but only 3 were for extra bases. A lot of great at bats contributed to this win and everyone in the lineup played a part.
